POLICE IN FORT PORTAL ARREST SUSPECTED CATTLE THIEVES

Two suspected cattle thieves have been arrested in Fort Portal in an operation led by police, Giso West division and crime preventers.
According to Richard Muhumuza,the area LC3 chairperson and Giso, the two are Irumba Jamada 20 years and Kakuru Reuben 30 both residents of Kyenjo district.
He said that they were arrested after a tip off from the home guards that thieves have been terrorizing people of Fort portal municipality
Muhumuza disclosed that the suspects were discovered with a stolen cow from Rwimi Sub County which they had hid it in a NOAH UAN 377K.
However Muhumuza warned Boda Boda riders to be security conscious because there are some wrong doers who hide among them pretending to be boda boda riders.
The District Police Commander Kabarole, Musa Tibakirana has confirmed the arrests.
Since last month at least 30 cows have been stolen 21 discovered and about 12 suspects have been arrested.
