MAN ATTEMPTS TO KILL HIS WIFE,LATER TRIES SUICIDE

A man and his wife are nursing injuries at Kampala International teaching hospital after a man tried to kill her and later tried to commit suicide.
Hannington Ahimbisibwe 35years a resident of Nyabitekyere Kakanju parish Kakanju subcounty Bushenyi district yesterday attempted to kill his wife Tumusiime Rosset Brenda 30 years using a hammer and a knife.
Martial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson revealed that Hannington tried to cut off his wife’s head but failed.
He noted that when the suspect failed to commit murder, he decided to use the knife he had to commit suicide but was saved by the eye witnesses.
Martial noted that both the husband and wife were rushed to KIU where they are still admitted receiving treatment.
The man must face attempted murder charges once he is out of danger.
Police investigations are still ongoing.
