Tarmacking of a road that leads to Kabagarame international pork market started last week and now its about 30% complete.
The road in question is being worked on by Bushenyi Ishaka municipal council officials led by the mayor his Worship Richard Byaruhanga.
According to sources, the municipality has limited funds and therefore tarmacking will be done in phases.
Kabagarame pork market started over 25 years back and has greatly grown that its even attracts customers from Rwanda, Tanzania and DRC.
The market sells only fried and roasted pork. It works only on Saturdays. Pork is served in traditional houses thatched with modern grass.
Kabagarame is located in Ruharo ward, central division Bushenyi Ishaka municipality western Uganda. You branch off Mbarara-kasese road before st. kagwa parish and St. Kagwa Bushenyi high school.
