Residents of Sheema were yesterday shocked after one of their own was caught red handed dumping an aborted fetus into a forest.

The suspect Flavia Ainomugisha 20 years is a bar attendant in Mikyerere, Katwe Kyabandara ward, but hails from Rubirizi district.

According to residents who talked to www.mknewslink.com reporter, Ainomugisha was caught red handed by a boda boda rider, dumping her 6 months old fetus into Katwe forest in the evening.

Residents said that the boda boda rider alerted them and they came into action to arrest Ainoumugisha.

ASP Mary Mukago Sheema Police Station Political commissar intimated to www.mknewslink.com that the suspect is currently admitted at Kabwohe Health center III because she was severe bleeding.

She further added that Ainomugisha will be delivered to courts of law to answer to charges of murder.

In Lwengo—

A primary school deputy head teacher is currently detained in Lwengo District on allegations of killing his wife and their four months old baby.

George William Tugume the deputy head teacher of Kaboyo Primary School allegedly killed his wife Rose Katushabe 24, and her baby before dumping their chopped bodies in a pit latrine.

According to residents, the couple had a longstanding dispute which local leaders and community members had failed to resolve.

Residents who talked to www.mknewslink.com revealed that they were concerned when  Katushabe went missing for a week after fighting with her husband.

The residents who said they got worried after her known mobile number went off told www.mknewslink.com that they decided to thoroughly search, and her decomposing body was eventually found in a pit latrine at their home in the Industrial zone in Lwengo Town Council.

They alerted the Police Fire Brigade from Masaka which dug up the pit latrine with the aid of local residents to retrieve the bodies.

Peter Akampurira, the Lwengo District Police Commander said that Tugume is currently detained at Mbiriizi police station as investigations continue, to establish the cause.

It was sorrow and sombermood when the people of Rwagasha Kyeizooba  Bushenyi and others from outside Bushenyi gathered to pay last respect to the fallen student of Kyambogo University Karen Akampuriira Mbiika.

Her parents Fred Kibara Mbiika and his wife Merian expressed shock adding that she died before they could see her because she was in the exams at the university.

Mbiika Kibara hailed the family of Can. Apollo Mutungirehi, tycoon Hassan Bassajabalaba, family of Turwomwe from Nyakabirizi, Ministers; Mary Karooro Okurut and Betty Kamya.

Karen Akampuriira was born on 22^nd July 1999 and she attended Ngyeya preparatory school, and then joined Bweranyangi Girls secondary school from S.1to S.6. She has been studying quantity surveying at Kyambogo University.

In her speech, the minister of lands and urban development Betty Oliver Kamya Turwomwe revealed that the late Karen who had a bright future  died of a blood clot

While eulogizing the late Karen Akampurira, Minister Karooro who delivered a message from the government noted that Death had taken Karen when she was still young with a lot to contribute for this country.

She however consoled the parents, leaders and family members that God is the one who gives and also takes away.

Bishop Johnson who preached at the burial asked the parents of late Karen to be strong because plans of death are only known by God; no one knows when it is supposed to come.

He hailed Kibara Mbiika for being a hardworking man no wonder his late child was also hard working.

In Mbarara—-

The Mbarara District NRM vice chairperson, Herbert Kamugisha wants the party Executive Members (DEC) to quickly resolve the issues raised by NRM flag bearers for councilor positions in the January general elections.

According to Kamugisha, some councilors did not get their full facilitation while others have not received a single coin.

The councilors accuse the city/district party leadership of swindling their money since they were supposed to get one million but were given only shs 500,000.

Speaking to www.mknewslink.com  reporter, the Mbarara District NRM treasurer Muhairwe Grace Kyankoko said those with claims concerning their balances should reach his office so that the matter is sorted.

The Mbarara District NRM administrative secretary, James Busweeta dismissed the claims saying that some were too expectant than what the party was planning hence the disappointments.

Meanwhile, the Mbarara district NRM chairperson Jomo Mugabi has revealed that they are into negotiations to ensure NRM flag bearers whose facilitation from the NRM secretariat was misappropriated is recovered and paid to the right beneficiaries.

Bushenyi woman MP elect Annet Katusiime Mugisha has joined the rest of Ugandans to mourn the death of Kampala Archbishop Cyprian Lwanga Kizito.

In her Whatsapp post yesterday, Annet Mugisha noted that she has lost a father, son and faithful servant of God.

She described him as a leader who has contributed much to the development of Catholic Church and unity for all through his works and words of wisdom.

The woman MP elect added that the man of God will forever be in their  hearts and wished his soul to rest in eternal peace plus gates of heaven being opened up for him.

Archbishop Cyprian Lwanga Kizito was announced dead yesterday 3^rd April 2021.

The Archbishop was found dead in his room this morning,” a brief release sent out yesterday afternoon by Fr. Pius Male Ssentumbwe, the chancellor of the Kampala Archdiocese, said.

His Grace Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga was born on 19th January 1953, at Kyabakadde, Naggalama, in the present Lugazi Diocese.

He was ordained a priest on 8th April 1978 at Lubaga Cathedral by His Eminence Emmanuel Cardinal Nsubuga.

He was appointed first Bishop of Kasana-Luweero Diocese on 16^th November 1996 and ordained Bishop on 1st March 1997 at Kasana-Luweero.

He was appointed the third Archbishop of Kampala on 19^th August 2006 and installed as the third Archbishop of Kampala on 30^th September 2006 at Lubaga Cathedral.

There has been a clash and total disagreement between the regional CID one Henry and the new resident state attorney Batson Baguma over the dismissal of the murder charges against Rashid Kansiime Beto.

According to credible source the regional CID only identified as Henry refused the ruling by the new resident state attorney that Beto has no case to answer in connection to the murder of Allan Mandela a sports presenter thus he should be released.

The Regional CID totally rejected the decision by the state attorney and took the file to Ankole regional DPP Mr.Moses Onononchan.

The source told www.mknewslink.com that regional CID Henry vowed to carry the file to the DPP himself in Kampala in case Mr. Ononochan dismissed it.

Our credible source revealed that Henry insisted that the OCCID for Bushenyi and his team had carried out enough investigations and they have concrete evidence that would warrant sanctioning of the file of murder committed by Beto.

A source close to CID department told www.mknewslink.com that one of the facts raised in the file was a conversation between Loyce Tihainomwangire and Beto before and after the murder of Mandela.

After the new resident state attorney dismissed the case of murder against Beto, the community started getting worried that Beto would kill them too if he is released.

Loyce Tihainomwangire his longtime lover was arrested byBushenyi police after she called them to confess that she had murdered the presenter in a fight and mob wanted to lynch her.

Loyce was kept into police cells until 18^th Feb.2021 when she appeared in court where she was not allowed to say anything due to the capital nature of the offence before being remanded till 19^th March 2021.

Another suspect identified as Rashid Kansiime alias Beto who had been on the run since the day of the murder was arrested on the evening of 17^th March 2021 by a combined effort of Kizinda and Bushenyi central police and was picked from Omukatafari in Kizinda from a house garage.

In Ibanda—-

A 15-year-old primary seven pupil who gave birth to a bouncing baby boy few minutes to her first examination says the boy who impregnated her went into hiding the moment he learnt she was expecting.

The girl who is a minor has been studying at Sigirira Primary School, which is under UPE programme in Kikyenkye sub county, Ibanda district. She delivered her baby 30 minutes before the examinations.

Mr. Alex Arinaitwe, the school head teacher of Sigirira Primary School told www.mknewslink.com that the girl who slept at school since the re-opening woke up in the morning without any signs of labor and the school had hoped that she would successfully sit for the papers.

Mr.Arinaitwe said staff allowed the girl at school following an order from the Ministry of Education and Sports that pregnant pupils and students are allowed to proceed with education and sit for the examinations without hindering them.

The girl, whose name has been withheld to protect her since she is a minor, was rushed to a homestead near the school, was helped by a nurse to give birth before transferring her to a nearby Clinic.

Arinaitwe added “the pupil delivered normally and successfully with no serious complications. The nurse provided the pupil with sanitary pads and wished her good luck to sit for the examinations”.

 The girl told www.mknewslink.com that she started having complications and pains in the stomach on Monday night, but she didn’t know she was going to give birth.

“I worked up the courage to do the exam because I had made enough preparations for it and am expecting good results.” She added.

Peter Nsimiire, the Ibanda District Inspector of Schools says the girl who was in good condition after birth was given a special room and left to proceed with her first paper.

The girl who is a total orphan was allegedly defiled by a boy friend last year, who has since been on the run. The police are still hunting for him, said one of the relatives who asked his names to be kept confidential.

A primary seven candidate in Ibanda has today morning given birth to a bouncing baby boy, few minutes to her first paper.

According to eye witnesses, the candidate who was already at the examination Centre at the time of labor gave birth to her baby in the school compound.

The candidate whose names have been withheld is a pupil at Sigirira primary school Kikyenkye sub county Ibanda district.

She was later allowed to continue with her exams beginning with mathematics immediately.

The government of Uganda at the reopening of schools for finalists ordered all school authorities to allow pregnant learners to continue with their studies so that they could also sit for their exams.

In Bushenyi—

The Contractor of Kabushaho seed secondary school in Bumbaire sub county Bushenyi district has been accused of producing shoddy work on the project he is yet to finish.

Khalsa Development Ltd was in 2019 granted a contract to construct a 2.3 billion shillings seed school at Kabushaho, Bumbaire subcounty Bushenyi district.

The project which is sponsored by the government of Uganda through the ministry of education was supposed to be complete by last year but was extended to March 2021 due to the outbreak of Covid pandemic.

The contractor was expected to build three classroom blocks of two classrooms each, ICT block, Administration block, Library, Laboratory, three staff houses and a playground.

However, the district chairman Jaffari Bassajabalaba and his team were during a recent tour at the school premises disappointed by the incomplete and shoddy work done by the contractor.

According to team members who talked to www.mknewslink.com , some of the buildings have already developed cracks on the floors, the doors used are of poor quality and they were poorly fitted in.

Basajabalaba agreed that the contractor has put some good work on some buildings but he has failed to complete the project in time plus some few defaults on the floors and ceiling.

Dan Taritweba, the chairperson Board of Governors told www.mknewslink.com reporter that many things are yet to be done such as landscaping while other items like shelves and tables for the library, computers for ICT have not been put in place.

Taritweba wants the contractor to either be given one month or he agrees to do the remaining work under the defunct liability period.

Residents who talked to this reporter accused the contractor of being on and off the site adding that it is for this reason that he has failed to complete his works in time.

Our reporter couldn’t verify the allegations since his calls also went unanswered.

In Isingiro—

Police in Rwizi Region are investigating circumstances under which a man killed three members of his family in Isingiro before ending his life.

Samson Kasasira the Rwizi region police mouthpiece told www.mknewslink.com that Peter Bahama 60 years yesterday attacked his wife Annah Kiryabaho and cut off her head with the panga.

According to Kasasira, Bahama a resident of Rwenfunjo cell, Rwentango, Isingiro district also killed two of his grandchildren; Joshua Tumushabe 10yrs and Shallon Nabaasa 7 years.

The police PRO said that Bahama cut off his neck before residents set the house ablaze and his body was burnt beyond recognition alongside those of his grandchildren.

Meanwhile, Kiryabaho is currently admitted at Mbarara referral hospital after she survived death.

This is the second case of gruesome murder in Isingiro in a period of less than one year.

On 22nd, August, 2020 at around 0400/c Byamukama Celestine 46 years a resident of Rwengando cell Nyarubanga parish, Masha subcounty, Isingiro district cut his two year old daughter and three year old son with a panga killing them on the spot.

He thereafter attacked his wife Natukunda Jackline but she survived narrowly with serious injuries and was rushed to Mbarara regional referral hospital.

The man later committed suicide by poison before police and residents could get him.
