Former Inspector General of Police Gen. Kale Kayihura has hailed residents of Kisoro for standing with him during his time of incarceration.
Gen. Kayihura made the remarks during the requiem mass of his grandmother, Ancilla Karuhimbi Bucyana held yesterday at Rutare Catholic Church in Ndago village Nyarusiza Sub County.
Gen. Kayihura commended residents from Kisoro district for standing firm and showing the whole world that he comes from somewhere and has people whom he calls his own.
He described Bafumbira as heroes who have endless love for their own people.
Gen. Kale Kayihura said that neither guns nor ranks can help anyone amidst challenges and encouraged mourners to trust in God for he is the only one who can save them from challenges.
Former Bufumbira north MP honorable Philp Ntacyotugira and former district chairperson Bazanye Milton Mutabazi said they were impressed to see Gen. Kale Kayihura come back home adding that it gives them a hope that he will be fled.
