INVESTIGATIONS AGAINST INTERDICTED BUSHENYI MUNICIPAL TREASURER HEAT UP AS DETECTIVES SPEND 4 HOURS QUIZZING HIM IN HIS OFFICE

Detectives at Bushenyi police station have today afternoon spent 4 hours at Bushenyi Ishaka municipal headquarters with Jackson Beyendeza Muhwezi the interdicted treasurer trying to verify and investigating a case in which he allegedly transferred the 91 million from municipal account..
According to a credible which attended the session of investigation, the paper work used by Muhwezi to transfer the money after forging the signature of former town clerk were all found in his office therefore the allegations against him are true.
Beyendeza was arrested on 12th May 2020 from his home in Mazinga and since then he has been at police.
He was later taken back to his home for search on 13th May 2020 which the police did successfully before bringing him back to police cells.
The investigators were not co-operative to tell the media whether they found crucial information that would be used against Beyendeza.
Beyendeza and other two senior staff were interdicted last month and he was implicated in the misuse of 194 local revenue funds advanced to Bushenyi Ishaka municipal council.
The minister of Local Government Raphael Magyezi during a meeting held at the municipal headquarters implicated Beyendeza citing allocating of much money to his department leaving other divisions wanting.
