INVESTORS VISIT PIBID TO START EXPORTING BANANA FLOUR TO EUROPE, SOUTH AFRICA, AMERICA OTHERS

Investors from Europe, South Africa, America and DR congo visited presidential initiative on banana industrial development in Nyaruzinga Bushenyi with an intention of buying banana flour from the factory to their countries soon.
According to the director general PIBID/BIRDC Rev. prof. Florence Muranga while talking www.mknewslink.com managing editor that the investors were impressed by the high level and well-built factory, That produces quality banana flour and Tooke products.
The investors also applauded Rev. Prof. Muranga for the research about bananas which resulted into processing bananas into products like banana flour, Biscuits, Bread and others.
Products produced by Tooke like Bread, Biscuits are a hot cake on the Ugandan market.
The investors were also impressed by the banana cooperative model whereby farmers sell their banana to PIBID through their cooperative. PIBID has more than 60 cooperatives in the region.
The investors came as Uganda celebrated 1 year of presidential advisory committee on export and industrial development (PACEID).
The investors were flown in Bushenyi with a helicopter to Bushenyi playground which incited the residents of the 13-year-old municipality.
The PACEDI 1st universally brought in the country many investors in products like Meat, Tea, Coffee, Bananas among others.
