Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality Legislator Hon.Arinda Gordon Cowboy has today offered about 15 bursaries to University students going to study from Kampala International University.
During an event held today 17th August 2018 at his office in Tankhill, Bushenyi Town, Cowboy thanked parents for investing in Education and further urged them to consider gender balance.
He said that in previous years, Boys were favoured ahead of girls but with the current generation, Both boys and girls have equal opportunities to access all basic needs including Education.
MP Arinda said that he has been doing this by offering scholarships to at least 15 students from his constituency since he took power in 2016 and he will continue with the program if he remains in that position.
Hon. Arinda again thanked Hassan Basajjabalaba for giving him that opportunity to give half bursaries for students studying at Kampala International University.
Twikirize Ackline [From Kashenyi] one of the students to benefit from the scholarships applauded the MP for fulfilling his promise and said she will work hard to achieve her goals.
Cowboy noted that the Government is now aiming at Digital learning that will help Post-Information age students to get access to internet information unlike in recent years.
