SPCS STORM KABALE POLICE STATION DEMANDING FOR THEIR SALARIES

In Kabale—-
A section of Special Police Constables have today morning stormed Kabale central police station demanding for their unpaid salaries.
These are some of those who were trained to assist police in keeping peace during the last concluded elections.
They however claim that since January, they have not got any payment from Police.
The special police constables who had camped at Kabale police station today 1stApril narrated that they left their personal activities hoping to gain something from working for police.
They said that they have families to look after and landlords, ladies are on their necks demanding for their rent.
Catherine Ahimbisibwe said that she heard that the first group was paid their two month salaries yet, she has never received any single coin of money.
However, Elly Maate the Kigezi regional police spokesperson told our reporter those who were given appointment letters receive their salaries adding that complainants insisted on volunteering after failing to get appointment Letters
