UCC TAKES DIGITAL LITERACY TO KAGADI ELDERLY POPULATION

As the world moves so fast digitally, a number of elderly people from different sub counties in Kagadi district have started a five-day digital literacy training aimed at empowering them digitally.
The training has been organized by future technology Uganda limited in collaboration with Uganda Communications Commission (UCC).
Paul Jonathan from UCC said that the programme aims at introducing digital knowledge to all Ugandans including the elderly.
He further said that the training is covering introduction to effective communication, handling information and content, digital transaction, problem solving and online safety, in addition to introduction to digital technology; smart devices for the internet, operating systems and smartphones.
Yoweri Kirungi the councilor for the elderly for Kagadi town council thanked the NRM government and the president Museveni for extending ICT training to the older persons.
Kulungi applead to the older persons to keep supporting the NRM government for good governance.
