The Bushenyi Ishaka municipality MP Gordon Arinda Cowboy has vowed to fight on land, in air, and on sea to make sure that no one sells Kabagarame pork market.
Speaking at the end of the protest by the residents over the sale of Kabagarame market, Cowboy said that they shall fight on land, in air and even on sea but they will never surrender Kabagarame “no retreat, no surrender.”
Peaceful residents of Bushenyi holding placards led by their Legislature Hon. Gordon Arinda aka Cowboy, Chairman LCV Jafari Bassajjabalaba and other leaders gathered to oppose selling of Kabagarame pork Joint Market that is being auctioned by Manfred Muhumuza .
Shouting out; Save Kabagarame, Afazari Nkuroga Wakwata Ahari Kabagarame residents at around 10:30am started from the market in question up to Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality compound where they gathered to show their concerns.
The demonstrators handed over the petition including over 2000 signatures to the area MP to take to president Museveni so that he comes and rescues their pork market
Mbarara High Court Deputy Registrar Amos Kwizera on Friday directed Best Associated Auctioneers and Court Bailiffs to sell the land on which the pork market sits, and a residential house of Bushenyi- Ishaka Municipality Town Clerk, among other properties, within 30 days to recover Shs187 million the local municipality owes Manfred Muhumuza and others.
