As the political storm heats up across Sheema District, several prominent people have expressed their intentions to join the race at different levels of political representation.
In Sheema District the Youthful Tugume Nickson, who hails from Kishabya Town Council, Shuuka Sub County in Sheema South Constituency in Sheema District has declared his intention to represent the Constituency in Parliament come 2021.
“It has been our humble pleasure to host and facilitate 110 ladies from Sheema South constituency on their two day study tour of model farmers and other landmarks in Kampala and Wakiso districts,” Nickson told a group of Women he met in the presence of www.mknewslink.com reporter late last month on 27th June 2019.
Born to the late Mr and Mrs Banduho, Tugume who belongs to NRM attended Ryakatsinga Primary School and Ryakatsina Centre for higher Education where his political journey kicked off.
Tugume, then joined Mengo Medical School where he completed a bio metrical engineering course where he became an Engineer.
“The time to change Sheema South as model for the whole country and I’m here to offer myself to represent the people of Sheema in the next Parliament” Tugume said.
He noted that he cannot underestimate the performance in Sheema Constituency by past and present Members of Parliament, but he is coming up with new ideas that will transform Sheema into another oversight for the country.
Sheema Parliamentary seat is currently occupied by Hon Ephraim Kamuntu 73, a Ugandan Management Scientist and Politician. He is the Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities .He has already indicated that he will return in 2021.
Others who have expressed interest in Sheema South Constituency Parliamentary race include Laban Muhabwe, Emmanuel Arinaitwe and Edmund M Rurangaranga amogume.
