NATIONAL WATER WILL REDUCE CASES OF MATERNAL DEATH–EPHRAIM KAMUNTU

Ephraim Kamuntu the minister for tourism noted that with the help of water from National Water and Sewerage Corporation cases of women who die while giving birth and domestic violence will reduce.
He said this at the official launching of Shuuku Town Council water project by National Water and Sewerage Corporation at Shuuku town council headquarters on Thursday 29th November 2018.
He refuted rumors circulating that Mayor Shuuku town council Boaz Biziira is still against the National water to be in charge of Shuuku water. He said thatBiziira is now among people who support it although he had resisted it.
Biziira cleared the air that he wasn’t against National water but he was fighting for a first priority for his people to get first.
Kateeba Francis the greater Bushenyi managing director forNational water and Sewerage Corporation said that if it wasn’t for the differences amongst Shuuku political leaders,the biggest part of Shuuku would have per now received water and that the money they had planned for Shuuku was taken to Kitagata sub County.
The RDC Sheema district Kyereere Frank reported to kateeba that people in Kabwohe buy a jerrycan of water at 200shs instead of 50 shs.
