MP MWIJUKYE TRASHES OWINY-DOLLO’S REQUEST TO EXTEND MAGISTRATES RETIREMENT AGE

The Member of Parliament for Buhweju constituency Mwijukye Francis has accused the Deputy Chief Justice Alphonse Owiny-Dollo of being selfish to Ugandans by seeking extension of mandatory retirement age for magistrates from the government.
Mp Mwijukye asserted that as leaders, they will not allow the elders to continue occupying government offices leaving the young people Jobless.
He appealed to his fellow Members of parliament to oppose such motions to save young generation from unemployment problem when they qualify to be in such offices.
Recently, the Deputy chief justice Alphonse Owiny requested government of Uganda to extend the mandatory retirement age for magistrates saying that they are highly qualified people who still have ability to serve but they are always taken out of service when they are still productive.
Speaking to www.mknewslink.com, Bazil Bataringaya the secretary for Finance who is also the LC5 Councilor representing Rubindi Sub County supported the Alphonse’s motion saying that some of them are still productive, energetic and have never been involved in scandals.
