NTUNGAMO PRIMARY SCHOOL HEADTEACHER, WOMAN PERISH IN KABALE ACCIDENT

Police in Kabale district are investigating circumstances under which two people died on spot in a fatal single road accident at Kabalaga along Kabale- Mbarara highway.

Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional Police spokesperson, identified the deceased as Godfrey Mwongyera a Head teacher of Kamengo Primary School in Kajara County, Ntungamo district and Nyirabagyenzi Florence 52, a resident of Muyumbu village, Kyanamira parish, Kyanamira Sub-county in Kabale District who both died on spot.

The accident happened yesterday 30th of June, 2022 at about 1PM the Motor Cycle registration no UEE 079Y Bajaji boxer, ridden by head teacher lost control and fell into a trench due to over speeding.

Maate noted that scene was visited, Sketch plan drawn and bodies taken to Kabale Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination and motorcycle was towed to police yard pending IOV inspection.

A statement of single fatal accident was registered at Kabale Central Police Station under reference number TAR 64/2022.
