SHEEMA DISTRICT MPS REFUSE TO ATTEND MUSEVENI’S FUNCTION IN KABWOHE

Sheema district members of parliament yesterday stunned residents and guests when they all never turned up for 100th international cooperative day held at Kabwohe stadium Sheema district.
The four MPS Dickson Kateshumbwa the Sheema municipality, Rosemary Nyakikongoro district woman MP, Dickens Elijah Mushemeza Sheema South and Naume Kibaju Sheema north never came for the function where the president was expected.
www.mknewslink.com is yet to establish whether the four refused to attend the president’s function because he did not nominate them ministers.
However, the former ministers who were defeated in the 2021; Elioda Tumwesigye and Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu attended and were given a chance to speak to the people.
The voters who spoke to www.mknewslink.com after function revealed that they were extremely unhappy for electing leaders who don’t respect the president whom they are supposed to ask for services when he visits the area.
“These four MPs Kateshumbwa, Mushemeza, Nyakikongoro and Kibaju have be shamed us,” one of the voters said.
They wondered why MPs like Elijah Okupa from northern Uganda, MP Rasta from Mbale, ministers of trade, PS for the ministry of trade and cooperatives and other dignitaries can come that far to attend the function but those form the land refused to attend.
The president was represented by minister of trade and cooperatives Francis Mwebesa who read the president’s speech that was rich in parish development model, Emyooga and other development related issues.
