Anglican Rev. from West Ankole Diocese attached to Kabushaho Parish in Bumbaire Sub-county in Bushenyi District has been successfully arrested on charges of defilement.
Rev. Atwebembire Micheal aged 53 years and Senior Clergy in West Ankole Diocese was arrested this week on charges of defilement.
According to Bushenyi RDC, Mr. Emmy Ngabirano, Rev. Atwebembire Micheal allegedly defiled a 15 year old girl from Kabushaho Primary School (being a minor names cannot be revealed).
RDC Ngabirano told MK newslink.com and MK Newslink TV that the case file of Rev. Atebembire is already at Bushenyi Resident State Attorney for perusal to determine whether the Rev. should be taken to court or not.
Anglican Revs. and Rev. Frs. as well as Archbishops and Bishops of both religions have been on the spotlight for engaging sex outside marriage for the case of Anglicans and Rev. Frs. and Catholic Bishops for producing secret children.
The biggest Anglican religious scandal in the church of Uganda was the immediate Retired the Archbishop of Uganda, His Grace Stanley Ntagari, who got involved in sex scandal that almost broke the Anglican church in Uganda as well as the world.
