CON MAN: RUHUMURO DISTRICT COUNCILOR ARRESTED, DEMANDED TO NYAMUSHEKYERA PRISON OVER FORGERY

Rubirizi Magistrate’s court has today sent Denis Nayebare Kanyankore councilor LCV representing Ruhumuro Sub County to Nyamushekyera prisons over forgery and obtaining money by false pretense.
Nayebare with others a year ago using St. John’s primary school falsely obtained money now equivalent to 18 million shillings as an institutional loan using forged documents but he has since failed to pay.
Two more other files await him; one at Bushenyi main police station where he is accused of extorting money from Kenneth Nuwamanya equivalent to 5.9 million shillings in the guise of getting him a job and another one is at Mbarara central police station where he is believed to have taken 15 million shillings from Penlope Nyonyozi from Rushambya Burere Buhweju who resides in Mbarara.
He has been remanded to Nyamushekyera government prison until 21st October 2026.
