MASINDI POLICE OFFICER DISCHARGED AFTER RECOVERING FROM COVID 19

A 29 year old police officer attached to Masindi Central Police Station in Masindi district who had tested positive for Covid-19 has been discharged from Hoima Regional Referral Hospital after 30 days.
It was alleged that he had been infected through contact with cargo truck drivers at Karuma and later admitted at Hoima Covid -19 treatment center where he has spent 30 days.
His final results over the weekend indicated that he had recovered from the disease.
He is the Second patient to recover from the facility.
Dr. Lawrence Tumusiime who is the in-charge of the treatment center, said the cop responded positively to medication which enabled him to recover quickly .
Dr. Tumusiime said that the facility has now remained with one Covid-19 patient who is a 28 year old cargo truck driver who was intercepted at Bweyare in Kiryandongo district after entering the country from Elegu boarder around 17th May 2020.
Dr. Augustine Mutundu, the doctor managing the 3rd patient said that they are finding it hard to treat him because of his denial urging that he is suffering from Malaria.
Hoima regional referral Hospital received its first Covid-19 patient on March 28th and was discharged on April 16th.
The patient was a 48-year-old woman who had came from Dubai in early March.
