MASINDI YOUTH THREATEN TO ATTACK MPS OVER AGE LIMIT REMOVAL

Masindi district Youth leaders have launched a serious war against their MPs who support plans to amendment the article 102 that would make Museveni a life president.
Youth leaders in Masindi district have vowed to crackdown on MPs from Bunyoro sub region that are in support of the amendment of the embattled constitutional Article 102 (b).
The amendment of the article 102 (b) is targeting to scrap off the
age limit to enable the president contest even if is they are above 75 years of age.
Last week over 200 NRM MPs supported the proposal to amend the article.
Addressing a press conference today at D’venue hotel in
Masindi town, Ignatius Tumusiime; the district youth councilor Masindi
municipality, noted that as youth leaders in the district, they want MPs
to respect the constitution by not tempering with the article 102, adding
that they don’t want the constitution to be amended to suit individuals’
interests, arguing that it should be a national concern.
Tumusiime, also warned National youth leaders who are moving across
the country popularizing the amendment of the article 102 not to step in

added that they are not going to allow them bring false gospel to the
people of Masindi.
He also warned MPs to take the words for the youth as serious issues,
explaining that they are keenly watching them whatever they are doing
adding that as youth they have been prepared enough and they take on
this country.
He also said that they want Evelyn Annite, the state minister for
investment; to withdraw her statement she made that asserting that ‘NRM is a ruling party and they have the army support to amend the constitution’.
Wamani Joseph, the district Youth councilor also secretary NRM league
Central division, said that as MPS should have a say on something
which is wrong saying that instead of amending the constitution, they should think of the power transition process.
