Mbarara District Health Officer, Dr. Peter Ssebutinde has warned of a third wave of the deadly virus, if people are not reminded of the Standard Operating Procedures.
Dr. Ssebutinde, was addressing Mbarara district Covid-19 task force, at TPO offices in Ruharo, Kamukuzi.
Ssebutinde further revealed that next week, the district is expecting to receive more vaccines to vaccinate the remaining teachers and the support staff.
The chairperson Mbarara district covid 19 task force and RDC Mbarara, Godfrey Mbetegyerize, appealed to teachers to embrace government’s call and get vaccinated to enable reopening of schools.
At the meeting USAID-Local Partner Health Services Taso Ankole project, donated medical supplies to district taskforce, that were received by RDC Godfrey Mbetegyerize, and Chief Administrative Officer Edward Kasagara.
