NRM AND FDC CANDIDATES NOMINATED FOR KISORO WOMAN MP BY-ELECTION

Two candidates have been nominated for the Kisoro district woman Member of Parliament  by- elections on the first day of the nomination exercise.

The two day exercise that is taking place at the Kisoro district hall led by the Daniel Nayebare the Kisoro district electoral commission returning Officer First to be nominated was NRMs Rose Kabageni who was nominated at 3pm

Kabagenyi says that she is not a newcomer as she served in the 10th Parliament if she is elected ,it would be easy for her to lobby for the people of Kisoro .

She called for unity among the leaders in Kisoro asking them to work together for the development of Kisoro where all leaders to come together .

At 4.40pm FDCs Juliet Musanase was nominated  as she was accompanied by party members led by Toteberuka Tibamwenda the FDC chairperson for the electoral commission

Ramanthan Ndikuyeze the Kisoro NRM Vice Chairperson warned some leaders in the district that want to bring confusion in the party by not supporting the party flag bearer that as leaders they will not allow such people.

Daniel Nayebare says 5 parties have picked forms the field candidates that include National Resistance Movement- NRM,Forum for Democratic Change -FDC ,Uganda People’s Congress – UPC ,National Unity Platform -NUP ,People’s Progressive Party -PPP.

He says that two are to stand as independent candidates that include Grace Akifeza Ngabirano ,Jemimah Irankunda who subscribes to the patriotic League of Uganda as well took apart in the recelty concluded NRM primaries but lost .

 Meanwhile in a related development Susan  Natukunda a second year student at Metropolitan International University in Kisoro who is also the guild speaker was on Wednesday declared as the UPC flag bearer by the party president James Jimmy Akena after t the party primaries

Aisha chimpaye of people’s progressive party -PPP was turned away by the returning Officer after she arrived at 5.10 Pm and was told by the returning Officer that it’s past time for nomination of 5pm that he can go and come back tomorrow.
